How it fits together
Each Mac mini measures 127 × 127 × 50 mm, according to Apple’s specifications. The explorer uses Apple’s detailed enclosure model, with its aluminum finish, ports, and vented base.
Each printed row occupies 3U. Two rows fill the 6U front of the rack, with three Mac minis standing vertically in each row. The Print3DSteve listing describes the mount and supported Mac mini enclosures.
The DeskPi rack specifications give an outer size of 281 × 260 × 330 mm, or 363 mm tall with handles. The rear uses the full 6U, arranged from top to bottom:
| Rear position | Component | Height |
|---|---|---|
| U5–U6 | Vented grid panel | 2U |
| U3–U4 | Vented grid panel | 2U |
| U2 | ElecVoztile eight-outlet power strip | 1U |
| U1 | Brush cable-entry panel | 1U |
The ElecVoztile PDU has eight short outlet leads facing into the rack. Six connect through the 0.3 m Goalfish power cords to the figure-eight inlet on the back of each Mac mini; the other two outlet leads remain free. The PDU’s switch faces outward at the rear, and its input cable passes through the brush panel below. Its Amazon link and specifications are included in the Amazon parts list above.
The PDU is rated 125 V / 15 A / 1875 W, with a 1.8 m, 16 AWG input cord. The model follows its 254 mm mounting width, 208 mm chassis width, and 1U height. Cable bends, chassis depth, and the shortened input lead are illustrative; confirm working clearance on the physical rack. Network hardware, memory and storage configurations, and software deployment details are not specified in this parts list.
Explore every component
Use the explorer at the top of this page to rotate the assembled rack, separate its parts, or inspect each component on its own. You can also open the dedicated 3D page. Hover over the hardware or parts list to identify a component; click to inspect it. Explode removes the rear panels, disconnects the power harness from the Macs, then slides the computers and printed rows forward. Auto rotate pauses while you interact and respects reduced-motion preferences.
The Mac mini geometry comes from Apple’s AR model, scaled to its published dimensions. The printed mounts are modeled from the Etsy photos, including their shaped front openings and open cradles. Mount details and accessory placement are illustrative, not manufacturing CAD or printable files.
