Why people skip the seed phrase
A seed phrase is a list of 12 or 24 words that can rebuild a wallet. Lose it along with your device and the funds may be gone. Anyone who sees it can take everything in the wallet. That's a lot of responsibility before a first trade, so many people leave their money on an exchange instead. An embedded wallet sits between the two.
How an embedded wallet works
Bloxwap uses Privy for sign-in and wallets. Signing in creates two wallets: an Ethereum-style wallet, which controls your Hyperliquid trading account, and a Solana wallet.
- Where the key lives. Per Privy's architecture docs, the key is split into encrypted shares. No single share opens the wallet, and neither Privy nor the app holds the complete key.
- How you get back in. Your login unlocks the wallet. Sign in the same way on a new phone and, per Privy's new-device docs, the wallet usually becomes available with no extra steps.
- How trades happen. You approve a trading-only permission once. It can place and close trades for you but can't withdraw or send your funds. Orders route to Hyperliquid, where they settle.

No option removes risk. Each puts it somewhere different: a paper backup, a company, or your login.
How to export your private key
An exported key is a backup that works without Bloxwap. Most wallet apps can import one.
- Open bloxwap.app on your phone and sign in.
- Tap your avatar at the top of the screen, then tap Advanced.
- Tap Export Ethereum or Export Solana.
- Copy the key from the window that opens and store it offline.
Privy's export docs say the key is assembled on a separate origin, so neither the app nor Privy can see it. Once you copy it, anyone with that key controls every asset in the wallet. Never paste it into a website or share it, even with someone claiming to be support.
The risks that remain
"Your funds stay in your wallet" describes control. It isn't a promise that nothing can go wrong.
- Your login is the front door. Someone who takes over your email or social account may reach your wallet.
- Losing that account can lock you out. An exported key is your way back.
- Deleting your Bloxwap account destroys the embedded wallets' keys. The app warns you first; withdraw or export before you confirm.
- Trading risk is separate. Leverage magnifies gains and losses, and liquidation can close a position automatically when its margin runs too low. See Understanding custody and trading risk.
Account-security checklist
- Turn on two-factor authentication for the account you sign in with.
- Use a unique, strong password for it.
- Store your exported key offline, not in a screenshot or cloud note.
- Ignore any message asking for your key or login code.

Is a wallet without a seed phrase safe?
It's a different risk, not zero risk. There's no paper backup to lose, but your login protects the wallet. Secure that account with two-factor authentication and export your key as an independent backup.
Does Bloxwap hold my money?
No. Bloxwap is non-custodial. Your funds stay in your wallet, and the trading-only permission can place trades but can't withdraw funds.
What if I lose access to my email or social login?
You may lose access to the embedded wallet. If you exported the key, you can import it into another wallet and reach your funds. That's the main reason to export early.
Can I move my wallet to another app?
Yes. Export the key from Advanced and import it into a wallet that supports private-key import. Your Hyperliquid positions and balances belong to the Ethereum wallet's address, not to the app.
