Daily contest
The Bloxwap daily trading contest — one 08:30–09:55 ET session every trading day, ranked by percentage return, winner takes the whole pot in USDC on HyperCore.
Every trading day Bloxwap runs one contest session. Trade perps between 08:30 and 09:55 ET and the single best percentage return takes the whole pot, paid in USDC on HyperCore.
The 30-second version
Open the app during the session and you're in. Make at least three perps trades. Highest percentage return on what you opened during the session wins the pot. Claim by 08:30 ET the next trading day.
When it runs
- 08:30 → 09:55 ET, every weekday the NYSE is open.
- No session on weekends, on NYSE holidays, or on any day the market is closed unexpectedly.
- One session per day. There is no second chance later in the day.
Getting in
Entry is automatic. The first time you open the app during a live session, you're entered. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to pay.
Each session takes at most 100 entrants, first come, first served. Once the hundredth trader enters, the session is full and nobody else can join it — even if the session still has an hour to run. If you want a seat, open the app near 08:30.
You need at least $100 in your perps account at the moment you enter. That's the starting balance the contest measures you against, and it's locked in the second you're entered.
One entry per account, and one entry per wallet. Two accounts sharing a wallet can't both enter off the same balance.
Qualifying
Being entered isn't the same as being ranked. To appear on the board and be eligible for the pot, all of the following must be true, all inside the 08:30–09:55 window:
- At least 3 perps fills of at least $10 each, on positions the contest scores.
- At least $100 of total volume.
- At least 10% of your starting perps balance traded. Both volume floors apply — you need to clear the $100 and the 10%.
Until you clear all three, the app shows you exactly what's still missing.
How you're scored
Your score is your cumulative percentage return on the perps positions you opened during the session, marked to market roughly every 10 seconds.
The percentage is measured against the perps balance you had when you entered. That starting balance is frozen at entry — it doesn't move for the rest of the session.
What counts
- Only trades you open during the session. A position you were already holding at 08:30 does not count, and neither does the profit or loss on it. The contest scores what you did in the window, not what you were sitting on when it opened.
- Perps only. Spot markets don't count. HIP-3 markets — the ones on deployer-run exchanges — don't count either.
- Realized and unrealized profit both count. Fees you have already paid are deducted; the fee you would pay to close a position still open at 09:55 is not. Scores are marked to market, not settled — the ranking reflects what your positions were worth at the bell, not what you would net by closing them. It is the same rule for everyone, and it is what the stored mark series records, so a disputed result can be checked against it.
Adding money mid-session
If you add money to your account during the session, you're removed from the ranking. Your starting balance is frozen when you enter, so a mid-session deposit would score your gains against a stack that no longer exists — a small account that wires in a large one would post a percentage return nobody trading honestly could touch.
Withdrawals are fine. Taking money out never removes you.
Winning
The single highest percentage return wins the whole pot. There is no second place and no split.
The pot is paid every session, red days included. The rule is the highest cumulative percentage return, full stop — so if every qualifying trader finishes the session down, the smallest loss wins. Markets have red days; the pot does not roll over and it is not withheld.
Ties break to whoever entered earliest, and then by account identifier if that is somehow also equal. Exact ties are vanishingly rare, entry time is something you can't manufacture after the fact, and the final tiebreak is fixed data rather than chance — so a settled result can always be reproduced from what was stored.
Claiming your prize
The prize is paid as USDC on HyperCore, to the wallet you traded from. No other address can be nominated, and the destination is fixed the moment the result is settled.
You have until 08:30 ET on the next trading day to claim — that is, right up until the next session opens. Open the app, and the claim is one tap.
Unclaimed prizes return to the treasury. Miss the window and the pot goes back; it does not roll over into the next day's pot.
Fair play
The contest scores trading, so activity that isn't really trading doesn't score. Trades that wash against each other within seconds at the same price, fills against yourself, and dust-sized fills used to tick past the fill count are all detected and stripped out before ranking. Accounts doing it are removed from the ranking for that session.
Questions
Something look wrong?
Every mark is timestamped and stored, so any result can be reconstructed tick by tick. If your score doesn't look right, reach out and we'll pull the series for your session.
